About this deal

Petroleum distillate rubber conditioners can temporarily soften rubber seals and then turn them to mush over time, thus causing leaks. I did see a video of scotty kilmer recommending using atp 205 reseal on rubber suspension parts as preventative maintenance; if rubber suspension parts can get maintenance, what would make the rubber engine seals not warrant maintenenace?

It was leaking hydraulic fluid from one of the directional cylinders, did not have damage so I thought I would try the AT-205. Anyways, I am also going to try putting some 205 on my suspension bushings this weekend and try to condition them a little.

My gear box condition was getting bad to worst worst where I can’t engage in forward once a while and constantly unable to engage in reverse gear. Some even have particles in them that supposedly fills cracks in rubber seals which is wishful thinking and advertising spin. Based on the reviews of these two men whose advice I trust, I thought I would gamble on the ATP AT-205. I sprayed most of the rubber seals I came across, I can tell that some squeaking noise disappeared all together. Got some atp anyway because I'm going to be working on my suspension and I wanted to try putting a little on the bushings to recondition them.

I did an oil change just before application as I was due for one so this chemical will stay in my engine for at least 6 to 8 thousand kms.

Car is making a rattly noise from that area, my guess is that what it is because it seems like the o-rings cause trouble for x-types when they start to get old. It was leaking so bad , I would have to add an extra 3 litter of transmission oil every 4 days , to stop the car from having difficulties shifting and driving. I was lucky to meet a gear box specialist that advice me to to try it out by flush out all gear box and change new oil plus add in this one bottle of atp 205, I was first skeptical that how could this small bottle of snake oil work for my gear box issue that have been there for nearly 6 mth. Thanks for your reply - that's the answer I was hoping to hear, as I'm considering using this product to address the modest leak I have on the alternator bracket gasket/o-ring, until such time as I can undertake a permanent fix.

That's when I read the instructions clearly stating , " EMPTT BOTH BOTTLES INTO YOUR TRANNY OR ENGINE ". BMWs have permanently sealed crank cases with oil that doesn’t need changing, so there’s no fill port.
